The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has officially confirmed that tickets for the much-anticipated Nedbank Cup final between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates will go on sale on Monday, 05 May 2025. They will be available from 10h00.

The thrilling Soweto Derby will take place at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday, 10 May. This promises fans a football spectacle unlike any other. Tickets will now be available at all Open Tickets outlets across the country, including Shoprite and Checkers stores. Tickets will be available online at www.opentickets.co.za.

Nedbank Cup Final Ticket Pricing and Limitations

Fans eager to witness this massive clash live from the stands will need to part with R150 for General Access tickets. Each person can only buy a maximum of four tickets. This is to maintain fairness and reduce the risk of reselling.

Additionally, hospitality packages will also be up for grabs starting Monday morning. Those interested can obtain more information by contacting 082 805 3150 or emailing [email protected].

    Strict Measures to Combat Fraud

The PSL wants to avoid the chaos seen in the previous Soweto Derby. In that event, more than 10,000 counterfeit tickets were sold on the black market, overwhelming stadium security. The league has implemented stringent security measures this time around to ensure that only valid ticket holders gain entry.

The PSL is strongly urging the public to buy tickets through official platforms only. Any tickets purchased from unauthorised sellers or third parties will be invalid and will not grant access to the stadium.

A Call for Order and Safety

In a country where football is a passion shared across communities, the PSL is calling on all supporters to respect stadium regulations and event protocols. With both Soweto giants meeting in a final of this magnitude, emotions will run high. Nevertheless, the league is prioritizing safety and order.

After the disastrous scenes that marred the last Derby encounter, the league has assured fans that strict crowd control and security protocols will be in full effect. This is to prevent any disruptions or threats.

    Final Thoughts

With Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates set to renew their fierce rivalry in one of the country’s most prestigious tournaments, demand for tickets will be immense. Fans are encouraged to act quickly. They should buy responsibly and prepare for what promises to be a memorable football finale in Durban.
