Cindy Makhathini Clarifies: ‘I Was Not Drunk’
Anticipating speculation, Makhathini dismissed claims that alcohol was involved.
“FYI, I was not drunk. We were driving with a baby in the car, and it was a long distance. The police did a breathalyser test, and there was no alcohol in my blood. It was just an honest mistake,” she said.
She further revealed that she had fully cooperated with both the police and the petrol station owner, admitting the seriousness of the damage caused.
“The car is still moving, but that is just the least of my worries. The damage I caused at that garage is too much, but I cooperated with the police and the owner,” she noted.
Eyewitness Account Emerges
Gossip blog Maphepha Ndaba later posted a video of an eyewitness describing the incident.
According to the man, the car appeared to roll into the station slowly.
“It was parked here. It came in slowly, like how a car would move if it’s in first gear without the accelerator engaged,” he explained.
Makhathini has since told her followers that she will share more details once she has “calmed down.”
