The laundry division plays an equally vital role. It provides clean linen to 14 hospitals, 54 clinics, and eight Gauteng Emergency Medical Services depots. Major Upgrades to Cook Freeze Operations
Recent improvements to the Cook Freeze section include the replacement of 18 steam jacket pots. They also installed a new Ulma machine and a modern food conveyor belt. These upgrades are part of a broader R100 million recapitalisation programme. The National Department of Health funds the enhancements to boost production reliability, increase efficiency, and minimise downtime. They aim to ensure that hospitals receive meals consistently.

The laundry division has received five new 100kg washer extractors. This significantly improves its capacity to manage hospital linen. To ensure smooth operations, 10 new boiler operators will be appointed by the end of the year. This addresses critical staffing shortages and ensures that both Cook Freeze and laundry services operate reliably and without interruption.
