Minimum Requirements

Academic Qualifications

A Master’s Degree in Education, with specialized knowledge in Educational Studies. This is a key requirement for ensuring that applicants have the academic background necessary to engage with the curriculum at the tertiary level.
Certified Academic Records: All applicants must submit certified copies of their academic qualifications and records along with their application.

Experience

A minimum of two years of teaching experience at a tertiary institution in the Education Department.
Applicants must have specialized knowledge or have taught in the Further Education and Training (FET) Phase and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) at a university level for at least two years.
Previous Marking Experience: While not mandatory, prior experience in marking assignments or exams at the tertiary level will be an added advantage.

Registration

Applicants should be registered with the South African Council for Educators (SACE) if applicable.
