SAPS Office of the National Commissioner Internships 2025/2026

The South African Police Service (SAPS) has announced its Graduate Recruitment Scheme 2025/2026, offering unemployed graduates valuable twelve-month internship opportunities within the Office of the National Commissioner: Corporate Support.
This programme forms part of the National Human Resource Development Strategy and the National Skills Development Strategy, aimed at empowering young professionals with workplace exposure, practical skills, and experience in the public service environment.
Who Can Apply?
To be considered, applicants must meet the following generic requirementsOffice of the National Commissi…:
- Be a South African citizen with a valid ID.
- Hold a National Senior Certificate (NSC) or equivalent (NCV L4).
- Have no criminal record or pending cases.
- Be unemployed and never previously employed in the field of the advertised post.
- Not have participated in any internship programme relevant to the advertised post.
- Reside in the province where the post is advertised.
- Applicants are limited to three (3) posts only and must complete a separate application form for each reference number.
Internship Categories
The scheme provides two main pathways:
- Graduate Interns: A relevant tertiary qualification is required (statement of results must be attached).
- Student Interns: Practical experience required by the tertiary institution (a supporting letter, not older than two years, must be attached).
A monthly stipend will be determined by the Divisional Commissioner: Human Resource Development.

Applicants must use the official SAPS Graduate Recruitment Scheme Application Form, available on the SAPS website.
Required documents include:
- A comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- Uncertified copies of ID, National Senior Certificate, and post-school qualifications.
- Statement of results or institutional confirmation letter, where applicable.
