This initiative supports talented students from the Trust’s beneficiary communities in the Northern Cape and Limpopo, with the goal of creating future-ready professionals across key industries.

Bursaries will be awarded to students in SIOC-CDT’s beneficiary communities for studies in all fields, but preference will be given to the following areas:

What the Bursary Covers
Successful applicants will receive comprehensive financial support, including:
- Registration and tuition fees
- Accommodation
- Prescribed study material
- A laptop
- A monthly stipend
Students with disabilities will also receive assistive devices to support their learning.
Required Documents
Applicants must submit certified copies of the following (not older than 3 months):
- South African ID document
- Matric mid-year/prelim results (if currently in Matric)
- Matric certificate (if completed)
- Latest tertiary results/transcripts (if studying)
- Proof of acceptance/provisional acceptance/application at a public tertiary institution
- Parents’/guardians’ proof of household income (payslips or affidavit if unemployed)
- Parents’/guardians’ 3 months recent bank statements
- Proof of residence (municipal account, landlord letter, or councillor affidavit)
- Medical note confirming type of disability (if applicable)

Applicants must choose one application method only:

Manual Application
Download and complete the application form and submit it to one of the following offices:
- SIOC-CDT Office Park: Corner Hendrick Van Eck and Ian Flemming Road, Kathu 8446
- Thabazimbi Hub: 11 Jourdan Street, Mollies Building, Thabazimbi 0380
