    To be eligible for the Standard Bank Group Bursary, applicants must meet specific academic and financial requirements, depending on whether they are applying for an undergraduate or postgraduate bursary.

    Undergraduate Bursary Criteria

    The Undergraduate Bursary is specifically for students who are in their first year of study and need financial support for their second year and beyond. Applicants must meet the following criteria:

    • Academic Performance: A minimum of 65% in their most recent exams (including Grade 12 results or any previous university exams).
    • Registration: Must be registered for full-time undergraduate studies.

    Postgraduate Bursary Criteria

    • Academic Performance: An average of 65% or higher in their latest academic results.
    • Full-Time Studies: Must be registered for full-time postgraduate studies at a public South African institution.
    • Formal Assessment: As with the undergraduate bursary, candidates will be assessed through psychometric tests and interviews.
    • Financial Need: Consideration will be given to students in financial need.

    Bursary Benefits and Coverage

    The Standard Bank Group Bursary is a full-cost bursary that covers various study and living expenses, ensuring that students can focus on their academics without financial stress. The bursary fund covers:
